Andy Landers is a retired American college basketball coach who was known for his successful tenure as the head coach of the University of Georgia women's basketball team. He coached the Lady Bulldogs from 1979 to 2015, leading them to numerous victories and earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament in 31 out of his 36 seasons.
Under Landers' leadership, the Lady Bulldogs reached five Final Fours and won seven Southeastern Conference (SEC) regular season championships and four SEC Tournament titles. Landers was a two-time SEC Coach of the Year and was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.
In addition to his coaching success, Landers was known for his commitment to the academic success of his players, with a strong emphasis on graduation rates and academic achievement. After his retirement from coaching, Landers remained active in the basketball community as a television analyst and commentator.
